Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long will my flowers last?

Forever! Although resin natural yellows overtime and to avoid this, keep out of sunlight or away from heat. Resin turning yellow is natural, and we use UV protection in our process to prolong it from occurring.

Q: Do you take only fresh flowers?

We take both FRESH, PRE-DRIED & FAUX Flowers.

They will look different in how they look, but we are happy to work with either. We also do recreations.

Note: Pre-dried Flowers are recommended to be placed in 3D items. Click link below for our 3D items. Petals can be used as potpourri and placed in non-3D items, but will not look the same as fresh.

Q: How long will the process take?

This process takes 4-8 weeks to complete based on how many orders we are processing at one time. Please ask about our rush option if you need a quick turnaround (4 weeks). We do have the right to extend turnaround time to up to 12 weeks based on the amount of items we are processing at one time.

From beginning to end:

Shipping:
Shipping your flowers. The quicker the better! We prefer 1-2 day old flowers. If we get them quickly, they will remain the most vibrant and look very similar to fresh flowers once dried. We preserve them as soon as we receive them in silica gel! This keeps them lifelike.

Drying:
Longest time-Drying process: 3-5 weeks depending on the flowers. Thicker flowers may take up to six weeks to fully dry in silica gel.

Prepping Process:

After drying, it takes 1-5 days to remove from silica gel, clean off the silica gel, arrange the flowers, take photos of layouts if applicable (for cuboids, trays, & tables).

Resin Process:

1-3 weeks to pour the resin. Small items like letters/coasters take 2 pours (2 days), where cuboids and tables take 4-12 pours depending on the size of the item.

Final Details:

1-7 days of cleaning, shaving, flood coats, photos, videos, packaging and shipping the items to you.

Your item is home! We hope you love it!

Will my flowers look the same as they did when I sent them?

Rest assured, we do our best to maintain your flower’s integrity and beauty. While we take careful steps to maintain the color and form of your bouquet, natural changes will occur as they dry and should be expected in the final artwork.

Flower Changes:

Most flowers darken during the drying process and every flower is different. Some white roses turn ivory and some remain white depending on the brand and species of flowers. Some flowers like sunflowers or daisies fall apart during the floral preservation process.

Arrangement/Layout:

We have to disassemble your flowers when they arrive to dry them, so we take a video and post them to our social media page for you to see how they arrived. For large items, we will put together one layout for you that will let you see how they will look in the cuboids or trays. Changes may be discussed at that time.

Due to the nature of resin, there will be natural shifts and imperfections. We do our very best to eliminate them, but like us who are imperfect, our art will have some imperfections as well.

Imperfections:

Flowers contain a lot of air and this gets released and trapped within the resin as it cures. We will do our best to minimize this, but microbubbles are inevitable. We just think this is part of its charm and a lovely addition to your one-of-a-kind floral art piece.

Some florists may use artificially colored florals in some manner. Resin begins as a liquid and sometimes these colors will bleed and create colored streaks throughout the artwork. If this happens, we will let you know if we can see it (sometimes the molds are not clear) and we can take steps to try to minimize it. Once the resin process begins, however, there is nothing we can do besides accept it as a characteristic that makes your florals and artwork uniquely yours.

Bruising naturally happens while you are holding, sending and during the preservation process. We handle them very carefully, but bruising does occur.

Lines in items will naturally occur during the pouring process. We pour between 2-12 pours for each item and that will create natural lines in the items. For cuboids, we do sand and top coat that helps deminish some of the lines, but you will be able to see some of the lines on the item.

Ultimately, we will do our best to make sure your bouquet turns out to be a piece of artwork that you can enjoy in your home for a lifetime!

Q: Will my flowers arrive to you safely?

When you place your order, we will send you a detailed email with detailed mailing instructions for preparing, packing and shipping your wedding bouquet. We can not stress enough that you need to follow these instructions step-by-step so that your bouquet can reach our studio as fresh and safe as possible. We highly recommend that you plan ahead for this so you have the right materials ready when you need them. And if you are assigning this duty to someone else, make sure to provide them with the same instructions. The better the condition of the flowers, the better the artwork will become.

While we cannot guarantee your flowers safety while it is in transit to our shop, please rest assure that we have received countless bouquets at our shop from all over the country and from various shipping carriers that produce the beautiful artwork you see on our website.
